Giant White Obelisk

One more shot from the Virginia trek.

Here are Silas and Eli enjoying "the giant white obelisk" and duck poop surrounding the reflecting pool at our nation's captial. We all left, hmmm, inspired....

Fast Forward

Here is Sawyer, at the beach in Virginia. As you can see, I have been totally lame in keeping up my blog. So, we are going to have to do some fast forwarding...

Note: July, 2007- I drove with all three kids and our "cousin" Eli to Poquosin, Virginia on a two-week trek to Virginia and back. Countless hours in the car led to strange growths from the top of Sawyer's head (see picture). However, we had a great time with our friends in Virginia and got to see some great sites- Williamsburg, D.C., Jamestown, and the beach.

One of most memorable times was this day at the beach. Dolphins were swimming just beyond the buoys, and we were able to swim out to within yards of them and watch them swim. It was really incredible. Sawyer stayed beach-side and hoped for a bite.

Graduation No. One

Hopefully, the first of many graduations in Sarah's life. This is a picture of Sarah, with her fabulous teacher, Miss Christy.

Sarah loved preschool this year, and is definitely ready for graduation on to kindergarden. If only I was ready for the big change. My baby girl is growing up...
